How Yunoh keeps a call private, who we check, and what to do when something is wrong. The rules themselves are in the legal pages; this page explains them in plain words.
How matching stays private
Yunoh has no public profiles, no browsing and no search. Nobody can look you up. A match is made by our system at random between two adults who are online at the same moment, and a Session is always one to one: nobody else can join it or watch it.
A Session is never recorded by us, and recording or screen-capturing one is against the rules. The other person sees your first name and, if you uploaded one, your profile photo. Your email, your age, your location and your payment details are never shown to anyone you talk to.
Your profile photo is scanned before anyone sees it and is shown only to a person you are being matched with and to people you have already met. You can end a Session at any moment, and the free side can pass on any incoming match, every time, without giving a reason. The details are in the Privacy Policy and the User Agreement.
What we check before someone goes live
Yunoh is for adults only, with no under-18 mode. Everyone confirms they are 18 or over before using Yunoh. On top of that confirmation there are two separate checks, and passing one is never passing the other.
- Identity check for Earners. Every Earner, in every country where Earner status is open, verifies a government-issued photo identity document with a liveness check, an age check and sanctions screening before anything is earned. Where the comparison of a live capture to the document photo is used, we ask for explicit consent first and keep no biometric template. A woman whose identity check has been approved carries a small Verified mark next to her name in the app. No such check exists for Members, so a Member never shows the mark.
- The age gate. In the United Kingdom, Brazil and Japan every User, on either side, verifies an identity document before any Session, any Message and any purchase. Outside those countries a registered User confirms their age at registration and a Member is also screened by a payment-card signal at purchase; we say plainly that this is a confirmation, not a verification, and we may require any User to verify at any time.
- Photo check. Every profile photo, and every image an Earner sends in a Message, is scanned before anyone else can see it. An image that fails the scan is blocked and never reaches the recipient.
If a check says you are under 18 and you are an adult, you can ask for the outcome to be looked at again by a person who was not involved, free of charge. Full detail: Age Assurance and Online Safety.
How to report in a call
Every Session has a Report control and an End call control, on screen the whole time. You do not need to be polite to someone breaking the rules, and you do not need to wait for the Session to finish.
Tap Report, pick what happened (nudity or sexual content, harassment or hate, a scam or money request, someone who looks under 18, or something else), add a note if you want, and send. You can block the person in the same step. The report carries the call details automatically, so you do not need to note the time yourself.
If you need out right now, tap Not OK, next to Report. One tap ends the call, blocks the other person and files a report for our team, with nothing to confirm. The screen that follows tells you exactly what went through; if the block or the report could not be made, you can do it from there. You can add detail afterwards from People you met if you want to.
If you suspect the person you are speaking to is under 18, end the Session and report it. Do not investigate, ask for proof or warn them. If someone is in immediate physical danger, contact your local emergency services first, then tell us.
How to report in chat and afterwards
In Messages, open the conversation and use Report or Block from the conversation menu. You can report the whole conversation or a single Message, including an image. After a Session has ended you can report the person, their profile photo or their first name from People you met, and from the screen that follows every call.
Anything you cannot report in the product, or anything you want to tell us in your own words, goes to support@yunoh.com with the date, the time and what happened. Anything involving a child goes to childsafety@yunoh.com and is treated as immediate at any hour. The full list of routes is in the Complaints and Reports page.
What happens after a report
A report goes into a queue that our team reviews. A Session is never recorded, so the reviewer works from what was generated live (a timestamped event, a flagged still where there is one, a classifier score), together with the chat of that Session, any Messages you reported, and the account history.
Whether an account is warned, suspended or closed is decided by a person, with a reason that is logged. Automated safety systems may end a Session or place a temporary hold while a person looks; they do not close accounts on their own, and there is no automatic ban counter. Anyone we act against is told what rule was broken and what we did, and can appeal for at least six months.
We do not normally tell the person who reported them, and never the identity of someone who reported a risk to a child. A report made in good faith never counts against you, even if we find no rule was broken. We aim to acknowledge safety reports within 24 hours. What we can do, and the appeal route, is set out in Complaints and Reports.
Blocking
You can block anyone at any time: from a Session, from the screen after a call, from a conversation in Messages, and from the Report step in People you met. A blocked person can no longer be matched with you, call you or message you. We do not send them a notice. If you block during a call, the call ends.
Blocking is yours to undo. Your blocked list is in Messages under Blocked, and you can unblock from there whenever you choose. Blocking someone does not file a report; if something happened that we should know about, report it too.
How to reach a person
Email support@yunoh.com for your account, a safety report, a complaint or an appeal. Our official Telegram is @hiyunoh. Yunoh staff will never ask you for your password, a sign-in code or a payment over Telegram, and any other handle claiming to be Yunoh is not us.
There is no telephone support. Anything involving a child goes to childsafety@yunoh.com; a request to remove an intimate image shared without consent goes to ncii@yunoh.com; privacy and data requests go to privacy@yunoh.com.
Law enforcement
Requests from law enforcement, governments and regulators, including preservation and disclosure requests, go to legal@yunoh.com. What we hold, for how long, and how we respond is set out in the Privacy Policy, the Complaints and Reports page and the Child Safety Standards.
